I’ve mentioned once or twice or a dozen times, that my husband has some food sensitivities and allergies. It can be a bit of a pain on the one hand, but on the other, it certainly does encourage us all to eat as well as we can.
Pizza is a comfort food for a lot of people, and I know my kids love it. Unfortunately, my husband can’t eat tomatoes or dairy, and so ordering out for pizza is not something we usually do. On the plus side, this means the pizza we make at home is probably a million times healthier for us than what we could buy elsewhere, and everybody can top the pizza just how they like for maximum yum.
It’s rare that I think about dinner far enough ahead to manage making a traditional rising pizza dough, and since I don’t like buying the processed dough from the store if I can avoid it, I almost always make our pizza with this super quick and easy no yeast recipe. You can literally whip up a crust, top it, bake it, and be eating pizza in no time flat.

No Yeast Pizza Crust
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2/3 cup water (Note: This amount works well for all-purpose white flour. If you use whole grain flour like I do, you may need to adjust the amount of water up. Add extra water slowly, and mix the dough well with your hands before adding more. The dough shouldn’t be soggy, or sticky.)
- Spices or herbs (e.g. basil, oregano, garlic, crushed chili, etc) *Optional
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Mix all of the ingredients except for the olive oil in a large bowl.
- Knead.
- Using rolling pin roll out dough. You should be able to roll the dough thin enough to cover a regular sized cookie sheet.
- Lightly brush olive oil over crust.
- Top with your favorite toppings.
- Bake at 425F for 20 min.
PS. For some reason I forgot to take a picture of the baked pies. I guess we were too hungry, but you can imagine it, right?

I will definitely be trying this soon! I love the taste of things with yeast in them but it just takes so stinking long to make them! I made no yeast cinnamon rolls this morning for that very reason.
