Who says beach weather has to include sunshine and warmth? Not this kid. Give him some rubber boots and a warm hat and we’re good to head to the ocean.

I can’t blame him. I love the sea myself.

It’s so amazing how the little ones don’t feel the cold, but a day at the sea?? AWESOME

I agree…I could sit and stare at the ocean for hours – even in the dead of winter!

    What lovely pictures.
I wish that we lived near a beach.
Actually the only water we have is a melted outdoor hockey rink in our back yard (I know…how very Canadian of us)

  6. Great pics! My kids and I love to put on rubber boots and jump into puddles or throw rocks into a river or into the ocean. There’s something so therapeutic about it! Sometimes when it rains a lot the green space behind our house floods and then we go wading in there with the ducks. Like I always say, we’re not made of sugar and a little rain never hurt anyone. Happy New Year!

With boots you could still actually get into the ocean. What a lovely spot.

My son refuses to actually go in the water at any time of year, so the winter beach is almost better. He can stand there and throw rocks all day, and no one’s urging him to get wet.
