The best part about living with kids is that the smallest moment to an adult, can be a Big Deal to a child. It’s so much fun seeing how excited my children get about things that I would normally not jump up and down about. Take this upcoming weekend, for example, the city I live in, Vancouver, is expecting snow. Snow! It’s not something that we get a lot of here, and I will admit I was kind of hoping to make it through the entire winter without seeing a flake up close. Not my kids, of course. They are jazzed about the thought of waking up to the white stuff. The more excited they get, the more excited I am getting. Of course, I am still on the mend from my bout with pneumonia so I’m doubtful that I’ll be out rolling in the snow myself, but I’ll watch from the window and be ready to snuggle on the couch as they warm up.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Storybook Magic Weekend
This weekend looks to be a great one on Disney Junior. As I’ve mentioned many times before, we are a Disney Junior family here, and this weekend on Disney Junior it’s the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Storybook Magic Weekend! On January 14 and 15 from 9-11 ET, Disney Junior episodes will feature storybook, fairy tale, and fantasy-themed episodes. Fun! I have a feeling that my daughter, in particular, will really love these special episodes this weekend, and I’m looking forward to having a great way to relax with the kids.
Pirate Rock Week
Of course, there’s always good stuff happening on Disney Junior. The week of January 23, it’s Pirate Rock Week! My kids favourite Disney show, Jake and the Never Land Pirates will be showing music-themed episodes including the new episode The Pirate Pup/Pirate Rock. Plus all week, sing-along versions of the Never Land Pirate Band music videos will premiere between each episode. I’m hoping my favourite Pirate Band song, Hot Lava, will play a few times that week. It’s seriously fun to sing. Pirate Rock Week will be all week starting January 23 from 6-7pm ET each night.
