I was first introduced to the online boutique Shabby Apple a couple of years ago and I immediately fell in love with their selection of gorgeous women’s dresses. Since that time, I’ve suggested Shabby Apple to a number of friends of mine and they’ve all fallen in love with their dresses too.
The selection at Shabby Apple is enormous, and the styling is varied with a large number of dresses suited to fit the shape of a real woman…you know, one with curves.
I was recently sent the Ballerina dress from Shabby Apple. I thought the plum color is a lovely shade that would suit a variety of skin tones. I specifically selected the dress because it’s made from a soft jersey that should travel well and can be a casual-about-town dress, or one that can be dressed up as well.
The dress is extremely comfortable, though the material in the bust is rather ample and might need to be pinned closed on someone with a smaller chest. The dress is double layered in the skirt which makes it comfortable to wear in cooler weather. I think this dress will travel as well as I’d hoped, which means you can look for me wearing it at this year’s BlogHer conference in New York!

Disclosure: I received the Ballerina dress from Shabby Apple. All opinions in this post are my own.

It’s gorgeous on you! I have a couple of purple dresses – I will be circumspect while packing so we don’t match too much!
Thanks! I don’t plan on getting too fancy. I found I enjoyed myself better at my second BlogHer when I was nicely dressed – but casually so. The first BlogHer I dressed up more and I ended up spending most of my time thinking about my sore feet and worrying if my Spanx was showing.
